Ooni Of Ife Visits Former President, Buhari In Daura


The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), on Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to the immediate past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

Ahmad Bashir, a former media aide to the former president, shared photos of the visit on X, revealing the significance of the royal visit.

The Ooni, known for his efforts to promote unity and cultural heritage, arrived in Daura with his entourage and held discussions with Buhari.

In addition to the meeting with the former president, the Ooni and his entourage, led by Buhari, visited the historic Daura Emir’s Palace.

Sharing photos of the visit, Bashir captioned, “Today, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), was in Daura with his entourage to visit former President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Before leaving Daura, the former president led the Ooni of Ife and his entourage to the historic Daura Emir’s Palace.”

The visit shows Ooni’s continued engagement with key figures across the country to foster cultural harmony and national unity.
