Olubadan Rejoices With Christians On Good Friday, Easter Celebrations


As Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday are being celebrated globally, the Olubadan, Oba Rasidi Ladoja (Arusa1), has rejoiced with Christians all over the world.

The Easter message is contained in the press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Olugbemiga at the Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan yesterday.

The monarch said: “Be like Christ in your words and deeds as seen in the appearance of the 12 disciples of Jesus Christ in the city of Antioch. “I charge the followers of Christ to desist from being commercial or ceremonial worshippers but be practical and spiritual in your activities.”

He urged the generality of the people all over the world not to forget the lessons from Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday which included sacrifice, suffering, resurrection and hope of eternal life after death.

He added that as Jesus was the prince of peace, we should learn to be peaceful co – existed, accommodating, allowing religious tolerance and see ourselves as our brothers and sisters keepers.
