Olamide Releases ‘Billionaires Club’ Music Video Off New Album

Nigerian rapper and music executive Olamide,  has released the official music video for Billionaires Club, a standout track from his newly dropped album. The video showcases Olamide’s signature style and affirms his place among the heavyweights of the Nigerian music scene.

Singer, rapper and founder of the Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) Record Label, Olamide has released the music video of his song ‘Billionaires Club’ from his newly released 17-track album titled Olamide.

The song featuring WizKid and Darkoo is a slow and easy jam, with a dominant and consistent percussion beat, and lyrics that allows the singer and his collaborators to shine. Olamide sings the first verse and choruses, with WizKid rendering the second and Darkoo the third verse.

The music video is simultaneously present and futuristic. While it features the usual females clad in underclothes in soft focus, the high-quality resolution video has a short movie feel to it, though the visual plot felt out-of-place with the lyrics at some points, and seems more of an abstract/artistic concept, of the lyrical message on the lifestyle and clout of rich men.

It is one of T.G. Omori’s conceptualized productions, and while the video is unconnected with the lyrics, it fits the aesthetics of the song’s title ‘Billionaires Club’ – from the high fashion costumes, to the auto-machine props, and the settings.

‘Billionaires Club’ song is trending at number 13 on YouTube less than a day before its release, with 608, 597 views. It is one of the three tracks (‘Kai’ featuring WizKid, ‘’99’ featuring Seyi Vibez, Asake, Young Jonn and Daecolm, and ‘Billionaires Club’ feat WizKid & Darkoo) in the artiste’s new album released in audio-visual format.

Other songs in the album are: ‘Luvaluvah’, ‘Duro’, ‘Special’, ‘1 Shot’, ‘Ruba’, ‘Hybrid’, ‘Lalakipo’, ‘Hasibunallah’, ‘Stronger’ feat Boj, ‘Paris’ feat Fadi, ‘Rain’ feat Popcaan, ‘Prelude’ feat FXRtune, ‘Indika’ feat DR. Dre & Spinall, and ‘Free’ featuring Seyi Vibez & Muyeez.
