Oil Safety Training Held for Nigerian Oil Professionals

An engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning company, Craigwal Petroshore Limited, and its partners recently held a one-week safety workshop for professionals and engineers in the oil and gas sector.

In a statement on Friday, the company said this reinforced its commitment to excellence, safety, quality, and sustainable project execution in the energy sector in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Hazard & Operability Constructability Review workshop was jointly organised in collaboration with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Exploration & Production, WAGL Energy Limited, and McKain Energy in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The multi-day workshop convened project stakeholders, technical experts, and regulatory representatives to assess design integrity, operational safety, and constructability for an ongoing project.

At the training sessions, participants proffered waterproof solutions to some of the challenges highlighted. “Discussions centred on identifying and mitigating potential hazards, validating safety integrity levels, conducting layer of protection analysis, and ensuring efficient execution methodologies.

“The sessions reinforced the critical importance of proactive safety measures in operations spanning acquisition, licensing, installations, onshore, and offshore activities,” the statement read partly.

Craigwal Petroshore Limited’s Head of Strategic Partnerships & Innovation, George Onuma, said, “Our participation in the Joint Design Review and Safety Workshops reflects Craigwal Petroshore’s unwavering dedication to operational excellence, global best practices, and sustainable project delivery.

“We remain committed to building stakeholder confidence and delivering projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.”
