Oborevwori Inaugurates Cluster Of Housing Units In Okuama

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori yesterday, inaugurated a cluster of Housing units and supporting infrastructure in Okuama Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State.

The event which marked a crucial milestone in the government’s promise to rebuild the community, which was leveled in March 2024, following the killing of 17 Nigerian Army personnel, symbolises the end of a long period of uncertainty and the beginning of recovery for the indigenes who were displaced.

Oborevwori who was represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, at the occasion said: “My beloved people of Okuama, and indeed of Delta State, this is more than a ceremony, it is a moment of renewal, a moment when we turn the page from pain to possibility, from loss to restoration, from despair to hope.

“We are here not only to commission buildings, but to recommit ourselves to a future of peace, dignity, and shared prosperity. “We cannot forget the difficult experiences that led to the displacement of families in this community.
