NSIA Insurance donates to new, women

To commemorate the 2025 Mother’s Day, NSIA Insurance has held a special outreach to new and expectant mothers at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital’s maternity arm – Ayinke House.

In a statement on Wednesday, the firm stated that the initiative is built on the success it achieved last year when it donated to mothers at Lagos Island Maternity Hospital.

The Corporate Social Responsibility initiative provides new and expecting mums with essential mother-and-baby care items reflecting the company’s ongoing dedication to well-being and protection, thus ensuring that more mothers feel supported as they embark on their journey through motherhood.

Speaking about the initiative, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NSIA Insurance, Moruf Apampa, stated, “At NSIA Insurance, we recognise the incredible strength and resilience of mothers. This Mother’s Day, we are not just celebrating them—we are showing up for them in a meaningful way. By providing essential items, we hope to ease their journey into motherhood and remind them that they are valued and supported.”

NSIA Insurance said that it remains committed to initiatives that uplift communities and create a lasting impact.

The insurance company recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, where the MD revealed that the firm had paid N44bn in claims in the past 10 years.

He noted that the N44bn in claims paid over the last decade underscores NSIA Insurance’s reliability and responsiveness.

“NSIA Insurance has transformed over the years into a forward-thinking, customer-driven organisation. We have paid over N44bn in claims in the past decade alone, reinforcing our commitment to being a reliable partner to our clients, Apampa said. “We will continue to innovate, expand, and create value for all our stakeholders.”

The Chairman of NSIA Insurance, Dr Adesegun Akin-Olugbade, also commended the company’s resilience, financial strength, and dedication to customer service. He stated that NSIA Insurance had weathered industry challenges while remaining steadfast in its mission to provide protection and peace of mind to clients.

“This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our employees, the trust of our clients, and the support of our partners. NSIA Insurance has stood the test of time, and we remain committed to delivering on our promise of protection and peace of mind,” he said.
