NSIA Insurance donates furniture to school


NSIA Insurance Limited has donated chairs, tables, and other back-to-school items to Government College, Victoria Island, Lagos, which it had adopted in 2023.

The donation which was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility held on Friday, within the school’s premises.

In his remarks at the event, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Moruf Apampa, emphasised the company’s commitment to its CSR causes, saying,  “This is a part of our pledge to empower the next generation of leaders and contribute to the advancement of education in Nigeria.”

He also stated that NSIA Insurance plans to adopt more schools and support them just as it was doing for the government college.

“We believe in the transformative power of education to build a nation and equip individuals with the necessary skills to solve the challenges of today and create opportunities for tomorrow. This is why NSIA Insurance Limited has made it a mission to find schools, like this, that we can adopt and support in any way we can,” he said.

The school’s principal, Mrs Bridget Oyedele, while delivering her speech read an official letter from the school’s management, the students and their parents where they expressed gratitude to the insurance firm for its support thus far.

 “Your donation has brought joy and excitement to our school community. These chairs and desks will not only provide our students with a comfortable and conducive learning environment but also inspire them to reach their full potential. Your donation will have a lasting impact on our school and our students. We pledge to make good use of these resources and to continue striving for excellence in education,” part of the letter read.

In attendance at the event were the Executive Director, Abideen Musa, Chief Operating Officer, Thomas Yebouet, Head of Human Capital Management, Folayemi Balogun, Head of Business Development, Adetutu Arusiuka, Head of Information Services and Technology, Steve Uma, Head of Internal Audit, Udo Okeke, Head of Life Business Operations, Bukola Oloniyo, Vice Principals, teachers, and students.
