The director of Socials of the organisation, Amb Johnpaul Nwanganga, disclosed this at the weekend said the event was earlier billed to take place in the state last year, but for the demise of the state first lady, Patience Umo Eno, which forced the guild to postpone the event in solidarity with the government and people of the state.

Speaking with journalists, Amb Nwanganga, said that this year, there is no going back on Akwa Ibom as the right choice for the historic event despite the temporary setback, explaining that the committee was working to fix the right date for the anniversary.

According to him, the guild was working in partnership with the state government to ensure success, adding that “the collaboration is a testament to the current administration’s commitment to promoting the arts, talents and entertainment in line with the tourism potentials of the state.

“There’s no going back on our choice of Akwa Ibom State to host the 25th anniversary celebration of our great guild. To further pay tribute to the late first lady, the DGN has decided to move forward with the event in Akwa Ibom this year.

“The celebration promises to be an epoch-making event, with top Nollywood veterans in attendance to pay homage to the late doyen.

“Akwa Ibom State, known for its vibrant cultural festivals, is an ideal location for this milestone celebration. The state is known for hosting exciting events throughout the year, showcasing its unique heritage and talents,” Nwanganga stressed.

He explained that the state has promised to bring its unique brand of hospitality to the event for visitors and guests to have an unforgettable experience.
