Nigeria’s New Digital Insurance Platform

Transparency Scape Insurance Brokers Limited on Tuesday launched its digital insurance platform, InsurEase, aimed at making insurance more accessible, affordable, and user-friendly for Nigerians.

The mobile application, now available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, allows users to purchase various insurance policies, ranging from health, motor, and travel to device insurance, directly from their smartphones.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Oluseyi Ifaturoti said the unveiling of InsurEase marks a significant milestone in the firm’s mission to simplify insurance for everyday Nigerians.

“We are thrilled to officially go live. Reaching this milestone has been a journey of perseverance, and we are excited to offer our customers peace of mind through a smart, easy-to-use app,” Ifaturoti said during the virtual launch.

“Our goal is to be a trusted partner as they navigate the often-complex world of insurance.”

InsurEase enables users to explore, compare, and purchase insurance plans in a few taps, with secure payment integrations from trusted fintech platforms such as Paystack and Budpay.

The app also brings together offerings from top-tier providers including AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, Leadway Assurance Company Limited, NEM Insurance Plc, Coronation Insurance Plc, Cornerstone Insurance Plc, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc, Bastion HMO, and Tangerine Africa.

Chief Operating Officer Olufela Olurin described the launch as a reflection of the company’s core values.

“InsurEase reflects our commitment to transparency and trust. By breaking down the barriers to insurance accessibility, we’ve made it easier for Nigerians to secure the protection they need. Our app simplifies the entire insurance journey, giving users greater peace of mind and confidence for their future,” he said.

To ensure regulatory compliance and credibility, Transparency Scape said it worked closely with key industry regulators such as the National Insurance Commission, the Nigerian Insurers Association, the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers.

Ifaturoti added, “We are grateful to our regulators for fostering innovation in the insurance space and to our insurance partners for trusting us with API integration. Their support has been instrumental to our success.”
