Nigerian Idol Alumni Release New Song ‘My Exodus’

Winner of the 2022 Nigerian Idol, Promise Chukwuyem, has released a new single titled: “My Exodus”.

Featuring The Unbeatable Choir, My Exodus speaks of man finding his way back to God after he’d lost his way in the marketplace and often secular-centered world.

The singer first released an audio version of the song on his YouTube channel on November 7, followed by an audio-visual one on two weeks later.

The simply studio-shot song makes it easier for both viewers and listeners to pay attention to the lyrics of the song and the upcoming (arguably gospel) artiste’s captivating vocal.

Winner of the Season 7, 2022 Nigerian Idol competition, Chukwuyem beat fellow finalist Zadok to win a cash prize of N30m, a brand-new SUV, and a contract to record an EP and six music videos.

The singer revealing his plans post the win had said, “Music is my life, its everything, and it comes from a place of passion. So, definitely from here, I’m making music, great music. I’m going to express myself in the best way that I can. Out here, I’m in no competition with anybody, so, I’m going to take it one step at a time.”

His previous single Hallelujah (A Gospel Rendition of ‘Story of My Life’) was released in 2023.
