The Regional Manager of Lifemate Furniture, Howard Gao, has rated Nigerian materials, especially wood for furniture making, higher than imported ones.
He made this observation during the grand opening of a showroom at ESMAK Building, on the Secretariat-Total Garden Road, Agodi, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday.
Gao, who also announced that Lifemate has eased unemployment by engaging over 3,000 Nigerians, said the focus of the company is to provide quality furniture for Nigerians and create more jobs to reduce the unemployment.
The Regional Manager said, “I respect Nigerian furniture; they are good, and we are running the business together.
He continued, “We have over 3,000 employees in Nigeria. Our own company is unique and different. Our customers’ problem is our problem, and they know that they are buying quality furniture from Lifemate. Durability and unique staff also distinguished our products from other furniture companies.
Gao added, “We are the largest furniture company in Nigeria, and our products are top quality. We give a two-year warranty. Our staff are friendly; that’s why we have so many customers. Ministers, tertiary institutions, hospitals, hotels and many others patronise us.
He concluded, “Our company has become bigger, creating more jobs not only in Ibadan but across Nigeria. We have 35 showrooms like this in Lagos, Port Harcourt and other places.”
GaoN charged young Nigerian entrepreneurs to be more focused, saying by doing that, the sky will be their starting point.
Also speaking, the Assistant Regional Manager and the newly opened Agodi Branch Manager, Jolade Oshodi, explained that the company’s targeted audience are interior decorators, estate management, and hotel holders.
She stressed that there are a lot of advantages in shopping at Lifemate, given its affordable prices.
Oshodi said, “We are not centralised when it comes to Ibadan. We were at Ring Road, Oke-Bola, and Dugbe, just that axis. And we thought of expanding more to be more centralised in Ibadan, so we decided to get this place.
“There are a lot of advantages in shopping with Lifemate Furniture. Our prices are affordable, and we have a two-year warranty on all our products.”
One of the customers, who spoke with our correspondent, Olateju Jimoh, said her family has been patronising the company for over 20 years.
“We’ve been with Lifemate for over 20 years; all their products are in our house. That’s what we use, and that’s why we are here. Two weeks ago, we still came and patronised them. We came here today to also patronise them. We patronise them whenever we need anything because their products are valuable, strong, and fine,” she stated.
