Nigerian real estate firm Pelican Valley has expanded to the UK, delivering eco-friendly homes to diaspora clients as part of efforts to boost foreign investment and trust in local housing projects.
In a statement, the company noted that Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments, the flagship real estate project of Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd, has penetrated the foreign property market as diaspora investors confidence grew more with the delivery of eco-friendly living homes to United Kingdom-based subscribers.
The Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd., Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, recently leveraged the Avenue Impact 10th anniversary celebration held in London to present house keys and property documents to a subscriber, while also pitching lucrative real estate investment opportunities in Nigeria to Nigerians living in the UK and beyond.
Adeyemo equally made the UK event a part of Pelican Valley’s broader strategy to tap into the diaspora wealth as well as increase the Nigerian national foreign exchange remittance, as the firm’s proven integrity and diligence resonated with Nigerians in the diaspora.
He said, “The colourful AVI anniversary, where a Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments subscriber, Mrs. Dolapo Olowe, received both symbolic and main keys to her apartment, had in attendance the Chairperson of the Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who was represented by Abdulrahman Abba Terab, Director of Technology and Innovations at NIDCOM; Mrs. Najiyat Okeniyi, a high-ranked UK-based public servant; the wife of the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Busola Ogunlowo; the President of the Nigeria in Diaspora Organisation, UK South Chapter, Zacchaeus; and the CEO of Avenue Impact, UK, Funsho Akinwunmi, among other dignitaries.
“Recall that in 2024, Adeyemo featured at Avenue Impact’s Business Networking and Winter Ball, where he showcased Pelican Valley’s exquisite range of products. Adeyemo’s efforts with the diasporan tour have so far yielded investment from over 800 Nigerians in the diaspora, with Avenue Impact members alone acquiring 48 plots of land and two houses within one and a half years. “
A single mother, Dolapo Olowe, who was also made a brand ambassador of Pelican Valley, personally received her investment documents and property keys directly from the CEO, Adeyemo, and dignitaries, describing him as a “man of integrity and one who proved to be a man of his word.”
Olowe revealed that she met Adeyemo through the AVI programme, stressing that the realtor’s integrity motivated her to invest in the Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments.
She advised Nigerians living and working in the UK to take the bold step and invest in Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited projects, assuring that they will thank her later.
She said, “I have a perfect blend of Avenue Impact and Pelican Valley because I met Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo through Mr. Funsho when I joined Avenue Impact. I joined Avenue Impact as a single mom when life was a struggle, when life was hard, and after Avenue Impact, I was fortunate to get a job with an airline company, and within the short period that I did that job, I was able to make this investment in Pelican Valley, for which I’m collecting my documents today.
“I just want to encourage everyone of us to give it a shot. I have never met Adeyemo before; this is my first time meeting him in person in the UK. I wasn’t even there during the time of the presentation of his real estate business (during the Avenue Impact event last year), but instantly I was able to see his integrity. My parents went for a site inspection on my behalf, and I saw that he is a man of his word. Lo and behold, he proved to be a man of his word. If I can do it, you all can do it too.”
