News Central names Egabor-Afolahan commercial director


News Central TV has announced the appointment of Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan as its new Director of Commercial and Communications.

According to a statement, Egabor-Afolahan’s promotion recognised her outstanding contributions to business development, brand management, and strategic communications.

With over 20 years of experience spanning banking, oil & gas, and media, Egabor-Afolahan has played a pivotal role in expanding News Central’s reach and revenue. Since joining the network in 2018 as Commercial Lead, she has been instrumental in securing key partnerships and positioning the brand for growth.

Under her leadership, News Central successfully onboarded onto major satellite platforms, increasing its visibility across sub-Saharan Africa. She has also driven revenue optimisation and strengthened the network’s commercial strategies.

Egabor-Afolahan holds an MSc in Media and Communications from Pan-Atlantic University and a BSc in Marketing from Covenant University. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations UK. Additionally, she has earned advanced strategy development certifications from Lagos Business School.

“Her appointment underscores News Central’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the media industry.

With her expertise, the network aims to further expand its influence and solidify its position as a leading media powerhouse in Africa,” the statement said.
