NEM Group Honours Outstanding Staff & Retirees at 2025 Event


The NEM Group has recognised outstanding staff and retirees at its 2025 end-of-year celebration at the Group’s head office in Lagos.

The celebration brought together representatives of NEM Insurance Plc, NEM Asset Management Limited and NEM Health Limited.

Speaking at the event, Group Chairman Tope Smart expressed appreciation to employees and clients whose contributions helped the group achieve strong results in 2025. He noted that the group exceeded its projections for the year, attributing the performance to commitment from staff and support from partners.

Smart emphasised that the combined efforts of the group’s subsidiaries contributed to several awards and recognitions received during the year. He added that the group would continue to build on the progress made while delivering robust services to clients and contributing positively to the economy.

He disclosed that as part of its expansion drive, the group opened two new branches in 2025 and plans to pursue a life assurance licence as well as establish foreign branches across Africa in 2026.

Managing Director of NEM Insurance Plc, Andrew Ikekhua, also expressed gratitude for the successful year and commended staff and clients for their dedication and loyalty.

As part of the celebration, NEM Group honoured employees who distinguished themselves during the year. Award recipients included Miss Damilola Ajewole of Legal and Compliance, NEM Insurance Plc, who emerged as Best Staff of the Year; Julius Elusakin of the Strategy Unit, NEM Insurance Plc, named Best Manager of the Year; Pham Blessing Nnyagu of NEM Health Limited, awarded Best Staff of the Year; and Mr Oluwaseun Adeoye of NEM Asset Management Limited, also recognised as Best Staff of the Year.

The group also honoured retirees, Mr James Onorienbohwo and Mr Amos Omolewa, in recognition of their years of dedicated service. Several other employees received awards for their contributions to the organisation.
