NAHCO Aims for N300 Billion Revenue by 2029

Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc has set a five-year revenue target of N300bn as part of its plan to expand operations and diversify its business portfolio.

The group, a provider of aviation ground handling and logistics services in Nigeria and West Africa, aims to grow its turnover from N53.54bn in 2024 to N300bn by 2029 through both core operations and new business ventures.

The Chairman of NAHCO Plc, Seinde Fadeni, said the company can attain the target and is fully committed to implementing its five-year growth strategy.

Speaking at the company’s annual general meeting recently, Fadeni said, “The board and management are completely focused on implementing the company’s five-year strategic blueprint, which would drive the next phase of growth for the group.

We plan to further diversify our businesses and enhance existing operations to drive revenue above N300bn within the next five years.”

Under the five-year plan, the group expects to generate N120bn from its main ground handling business, N40bn from cargo handling, N36bn from NAHCO Logistics Services, N15bn from NAHCO Free Zone, N80bn from NAHCO Commodities, N7bn from NAHCO Travel & Hospitality, and N2bn from NAHCO Aviation Academy.

Also, the Group Managing Director, Olumuyiwa Olumekun, emphasised that the company’s growth is anchored on continuous investment in equipment, technology, and human capital.

He said, “Since transiting from being the foremost ground handling service provider in the entire sub-region to being a diversified, total logistics group, we have been driven by the earnest desire to provide an unmatched level of excellent service delivery to our clients. This commitment has become more urgent as we seek to satisfy new demands for excellence and to improve shareholder value.”

Olumekun also highlighted the company’s expansion into specialised services, including the handling of shipments with radioactive contents, a first of its kind in the Nigerian aviation industry.

According to him, the company has implemented thorough processes and compliance measures to ensure safe and efficient handling of such specialised shipments, saying, “We have put in place clear, diligent, and thorough processes that would ensure 100 per cent compliance to procedures by highly trained company professionals as they carry out these specialised functions.”

Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, Prince Saheed Lasisi, noted that recent contract renewals with international airlines underscore the trust clients place in NAHCO’s brand.

He said, “It is a measure of the trust that the airlines have in us that they have extended our contracts with them. We are honoured with the trust reposed in us by our clients.”

With a diversified business model that spans aviation ground handling, airport management, logistics, commodities export, hospitality, and aviation training, NAHCO is positioning itself for sustainability.

The five-year strategic plan also incorporates investments in digital transformation, environmental and social governance, and equipment re-fleeting to enhance operational efficiency and long-term profitability.
