Mikano Motors & Autochek Offer Vehicle Financing in Nigeria

Mikano Motors has partnered with Autochek Africa to provide structured vehicle financing and digital access for prospective car buyers in a move aimed at expanding access to brand-new vehicles in Nigeria.

The collaboration seeks to remove barriers in Nigeria’s automotive market by providing access to financing.

The partnership was unveiled during a press conference at the Mikano Motors showroom in Lagos over the weekend, where executives from both companies said the initiative is designed to transform how Nigerians discover, evaluate and ultimately own new vehicles.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of AutoCheck Africa, Etop Ikpe, said.

“The demand for vehicles in Nigeria has never been the issue; access to financing has, and our partnership with Mikano Motors is designed to close that gap.”

Ikpe explained that the collaboration brings together Mikano’s portfolio of premium vehicles with Autochek’s embedded financing technology, giving customers access to multiple banking partners and faster loan approvals.

According to him, the arrangement allows Nigerians to explore financing options more easily while purchasing vehicles.

He said customers can browse the full lineup of vehicles available through Mikano Motors, including brands such as Changan, Maxus and Deepal, via the Mikano Motors virtual showroom hosted on the Autochek platform.

“From a single digital interface, prospective buyers can compare models side-by-side, apply for structured automotive loans, explore flexible payment plans and receive quicker credit decisions, completing key stages of the purchase process without physically visiting a dealership,” Ikpe noted.

For Mikano Motors, the initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the overall vehicle ownership experience in Nigeria.

The Group Executive Director of Mikano Motors, Joelle Haykal, stressed that our focus has always been on delivering not just new vehicles, but a complete ownership experience. That includes up to a six-year warranty or up to 200,000 kilometres, nationwide aftersales support, and the confidence that comes from a 33-year legacy of trust.”

Haykal added that the partnership allows the company to blend premium mobility solutions with flexible financing options for customers.

She noted that the vehicles offered by the company are designed with Nigerian conditions in mind, emphasising durability and performance.

The launch of the Mikano Motors virtual showroom on Autochek is also seen as part of a broader shift in the automotive sector, as consumers increasingly expect to initiate and manage major purchases online.
