Majeurs Holdings secures SON certification for furniture

Furniture manufacturer Majeurs Holdings Limited has secured the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme Certification from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria.

According to the company, the certification was presented to the company by the SON at a ceremony held at the Lagos Office of the organisation.

SON indicated that MANCAP is to ensure that locally manufactured products in Nigeria give the required degree of satisfaction to consumers through compliance with government policies on standardisation and conformity assessment.

Speaking at the certification presentation ceremony, the Director-General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, Dr Ifeanyi Okeke, who was represented by the Director of the Lagos Region of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, Mrs Theresa Ojomo, commended and congratulated Majeurs and other companies for successfully going through the rigorous screening process and meeting the requirements for the MANCAP certification.

“This achievement demonstrates your commitment to producing high-quality products that meet national standards. In recognition of this accomplishment, we hereby formally present you with the MANCAP Certification,” said Okeke.

In her remarks at the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Majeurs Holdings, Demi Samande, described the MANCAP certification as a testament to the company’s commitment to quality standards, offering high-quality furniture and interior design to its customers and clients.

“The MANCAP certification today for MAJEURS really means that we have achieved a milestone that we set for ourselves as an organisation. From the very beginning of our business, we have been committed to standardisation. Receiving the certificate today means that we are now ready for the next stage of our growth. The processes we followed over the years, the standards, and the particularities in terms of being very selective in the materials we choose to use in our production line, along with close attention to detail, all basically mean that it has been worth it for us. It’s been worthwhile,” she said.

Samande explained that the MANCAP certification is a win for customers, as it enhances their trust by providing them with the certainty that they are not making a wrong decision by buying local, reassuring them that quality can also be attained right here in Nigeria.

“At Majeurs, we are forging a legacy of unparalleled quality, exceptional service and groundbreaking innovation within the furniture industry. The certification was awarded in recognition of our strong commitment to quality management systems in the delivery of our products and services. This certification aligns with our philosophy and vision,” she added.
