M778, others champion innovation at World Product Day

M778, a marketing communications firm, and Innovate Africa Fund have partnered to power World Product Day Lagos, a transformative one-day conference set for May 25, 2025.

Themed ‘Bold Builders Wanted’, this event is a rallying cry for product professionals, startup founders, and ecosystem enablers to drive Africa’s product revolution.

“We believe Africa’s future is built on solid product,” CEO of M778, Mr Lekan Lawal, said in a note shared on Tuesday. “Our support for World Product Day Lagos is a commitment to fostering a culture of product excellence and user-centric innovation.”

Far from a typical conference, World Product Day Lagos is a vibrant celebration of focus, function, and follow-through.

“This event is about the makers, those with the grit to transform ideas into reality,” Managing Partner at Innovate Africa Fund, Kristin Wilson, said. “It’s not a celebration of funding rounds but of the determination to build enduring products.”

The event offers an immersive experience, featuring intensive workshops, collaborative hackathons, a high-stakes hackathon finale, a product-focused job fair, and insightful fireside chats with industry leaders.

Attendees will dive into rapid-fire product sprints, gaining actionable insights and practical tools to implement in their work.

“World Product Day Lagos provides a platform to exchange knowledge, cutting-edge tools, and hard-earned expertise,” Lawal added. “Africa doesn’t just need more startups; it needs stronger products that address real, local challenges at scale.”
