Lagos Transport Summit Set for 2024

The Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria said it has concluded plans to hold the second edition of the annual Transportation Summit in Lagos.

The body will lead a discussion bordering on challenges facing the transportation and logistics value chain in the country, according to a statement signed by the Chairman of the association, Tola Adenubi.

The statement further stated that building on the success of its inaugural event in 2024, this year’s summit will focus on the theme ‘Driving the Transport Logistics Value Chains for Economic Growth.’

Adenubi added that the event aims to foster dialogue among key stakeholders in the transportation sector, providing a platform to address pressing challenges and explore practical solutions.

He said the summit will feature a keynote address by Dr. Kayode Opeifa, Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, alongside expert-led panel discussions with topics strategically chosen to solve problems.

Expected notable attendees include the Minister of Transportation, Senator Sa’idu Ahmed Alkali, and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, as special guests.

TCAN Chairman, Mr. Tola Adenubi, emphasised the importance of the summit in uniting industry players to explore critical logistics issues affecting economic development.

He urged transportation companies and related organisations to leverage the platform to showcase their contributions to the sector.

“This summit was designed to spotlight the most pressing issues in our nation’s transportation landscape.

“Following the positive feedback from last year’s edition, we’ve curated a strong lineup of speakers and topics to help chart a path forward for more efficient, secure, and integrated transport systems across the country,” Adenubi added.
