Kwara Entertainers Move To Secure Singer Portable’s Release From Prison

Members of the entertainment community in Kwara State have initiated a move to secure the release of controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, a.k.a. Portable, from the Oke Kura Correctional facility where he’s being held in Ilorin, since Monday.

Portable who was arraigned before an Upper Area Court 1, Ilorin on Monday following a petition written against him by fuji star, Saheed Osupa, was sent to Oke-Kura Custodial Centre, Ilorin, over his failure to meet his bail conditions as ordered by the court.

However, the convener of Kwara Talents Harvest, Ibrahim Paranti, confirmed to LEADERSHIP on Tuesday that entertainers in the state have already visited Portable at the correctional facility.

“We are making serious moves to get Portable out. Right now, we’re trying to get in contact with Alhaji Saheed Osupa, believing he can lend his voice and influence to help resolve the situation,” Paranti stated.

“I am assuring everyone that good news will break soon,” he added.

He called for calm among Portable’s fans and wellwishers, assuring that constructive dialogue was ongoing to ensure a peaceful resolution of the feud between Portable and Osupa.
