Kizz Daniel Opens Up On New EP ‘Lemon Chase’

Nigerian music star , Kizz Daniel, has revealed that his latest extended play (EP), ‘Lemon Chase,’ is not just another drop in the ocean – it’s a deeply personal statement.

Speaking on the project, the Buga crooner explained that the seven-track EP goes beyond being a warm-up for his forthcoming album ‘Uncle K’.

According to him, ‘Lemon Chase’ is a carefully crafted collection that explores themes of love, heartbreak, peace, and celebration – elements of life every listener can connect with.

“This EP isn’t just business as usual,” Kizz Daniel said. “It’s a reflection of real-life experiences—mine and those of people around me. Every track carries its own weight, its own emotion.”

Known for his ability to blend infectious melodies with relatable storytelling, Kizz Daniel once again showcases his growth, versatility, and sincerity on ‘Lemon Chase.’ Fans can expect sounds that are both familiar and fresh, wrapped in the smooth, vibrant delivery that has made him one of Afrobeats’ most consistent hitmakers.

The EP is now streaming on all major platforms, serving as a taste of what’s to come in ‘Uncle K’—an album Kizz Daniel hints will be his most ambitious yet.

The Flyboi boss shared that his goal in making the EP was to be honest, authentic and true to self.

“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it, I wanted this project to feel like real life; sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self,” Kizz Daniel said.

The EP features five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, Johnny Drille, Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, and Zlatan and Fola.

The lead single, ‘Police,’ which features Mavin’s Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, has been tipped by many music buffs as a potential contender for the Best African Music Performance category at the next Grammy.
