Kiara Crowns Jollof Champion at 2025 World Jollof Fest

Kiara Rice Mills has championed its rice brand as a meal of choice following the grand finale of the 2025 World Jollof Fest, where the winner, Adefunke Oluwasuji, received N2m.

The competition, held at Ikeja City Mall, Lagos, brought together food lovers, influencers, and celebrities in a dazzling celebration of World Jollof Day. Guests enjoyed live cooking contests, music, entertainment, and free tastings of Kiara Rice’s premium brands.

Eight contestants from different Nigerian cities contested for the crown in a one-hour cooking showdown. Oluwasuji’s plate stood out, securing her the title of ‘Jollof Champion’ after extensive judging by culinary experts and food influencers.

According to a statement, Brand Manager at Kiara Rice Mills, Chinaza Ahamefula, said the event went beyond a cooking contest. He said, “The Kiara Rice World Jollof Fest was more than a competition; it was a celebration of Nigerian culture, creativity, and community. We are proud to have created a platform that not only showcased the versatility of Kiara Rice but also brought Nigerians together through food.”

Director of Kiara Rice Mills, Kunal Varshneya, described the festival as a milestone for the brand, stating, “The turnout, excitement, and love for Jollof confirmed that Kiara Rice is indeed the rice of choice for both everyday meals and special occasions.

Credibility keeps pushing us forward, and our goal is to make Kiara Rice a true household name that every family chooses and trusts.”

The winner, Oluwasuji, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I am so grateful to Kiara Rice for organising this amazing event that allowed me to showcase my talent. It was a challenging but enjoyable competition, and I’m proud to have been part of it. Beyond winning, I experienced first-hand how good Kiara Rice is, and I will continue spreading the good news of Kiara Rice everywhere I go.”

The festival also reaffirmed Kiara Rice’s mission to support local farmers, boost the Nigerian economy, and provide safe, nutritious, and affordable rice for households nationwide.
