Jiji, Cars45 recognised at technology awards

Jiji, Nigeria’s leading online classifieds platform, and Cars45, the country’s top automotive platform, both received prestigious accolades at the 10th Nigeria Technology Awards 2024.

The companies announced in two separate statements to The PUNCH.

The awards ceremony, held recently in Lagos, saw Jiji honoured with two key awards: “Most Trusted Online Classifieds Platform of the Year” and “Excellence in E-commerce Innovation of the Year.”

These recognitions underscore Jiji’s commitment to providing a safe, innovative, and customer-centric platform that connects millions of buyers and sellers across Nigeria.

Regional Head of PR and Marketing at Jiji Africa, Majolie Obaje, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Last year, we were awarded ‘Online Marketplace of the Year.’ This time, it’s gotten bigger with double honours. These awards show that consistent hard work, innovation, and dedication always pay off.

“At Jiji, we’re committed to creating a trusted platform that empowers millions of Nigerians, driving growth for SMEs, and transforming how people buy and sell online.”

In addition to Jiji’s wins, Cars45 was named “Online Car Selling and Buying Platform of the Year” at the same event. This recognition follows their recent achievement of being awarded the ‘Best Retail Organisation in Omnichannel Trade’ at the 2024 Africa Retail Awards.

Cars45 is renowned for offering an extensive range of pre-inspected and verified vehicles, backed by detailed inspection reports and a robust document verification process to ensure authenticity and peace of mind for every transaction.

The Head of Technical Services at Cars45, Damilola Ojurongbe, expressed his excitement at receiving the award.

“This award is a shot in the arm. It is a catalyst to do more, and the recognition will propel us to test new ideas, explore new solutions, and drive them in the market,” Ojurongbe said.
