I’ve Instructed Rivers Assembly To Obey President Tinubu

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday said that there was a solution in sight over the lingering political crisis, as he instructed the state’s lawmakers to obey President Bola Tinubu.

Wike, who spoke after inspecting some road projects in Abuja, also expressed hope that with this presidential intervention, peace has returned to the state.

He stated that if the Governor abides by the directives of the President, this would be the last time that the political discord would fester.

He said, “I can tell you that Mr. President has been very kind to the people of the state. If there seems to be a problem between the legislators and the governor, as a father, he really has to intervene.

“I remember this is the second time Mr. President has intervened. I believe, by the grace of God, this will be the last time, I believe that.

“I have told them to do the needful to obey Mr. President, which I know they will not hesitate.

“And I also believe that the governor will carry out his own part to make sure that this is the final time Rivers people will begin to hear this kind of discord.”
