Two leading IT firms, Tranter IT and ManageEngine, have announced plans to engage over 150 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in a renewed push to accelerate Nigeria’s digital governance reforms.
The firms disclosed this in a joint statement on Monday, ahead of the 2025 edition of the ITGOV Conference scheduled to hold in Abuja on May 29.
Themed “Advancing Government Operations Through Digital Transformation,” the conference will bring together senior government officials, IT leaders, and policy experts to discuss practical strategies for modernising public sector operations.
The organisers said the conference would feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and tailored consultations aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and boosting technology adoption in government.
Speaking on the upcoming event, Executive Director of Tranter Group, Ms Melanie Ayoola, said digital transformation had become imperative for Nigeria’s public sector.
“Digital transformation is no longer a choice; it is a necessity for governments seeking efficiency, transparency, and sustainable development,” she said.
Ayoola noted that over 300 participants had already registered for the 2025 edition, adding that last year’s conference attracted more than 285 attendees from 70 MDAs, including the CBN, FIRS, NITDA, and NNPC.
“This year, we’re aiming even higher,” she said. “We’ve reached out to over 150 MDAs and numerous private sector organisations, with over 300 registered attendees and counting. We’re committed to making this year’s event an even greater success.”
The event will also feature consultation sessions on May 28 and May 30, where MDAs will receive technical guidance on how to align their operational goals with digital tools provided by ManageEngine.
Key government representatives expected at the conference include the Director General of NITDA, Mr Kashifu Abdullahi; Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Mr Dasuki Arabi; and the Director of Information Technology at the CBN, Mrs Jide-Samuel Avbasowamen.
Others include representatives from the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Galaxy Backbone, and the National Identity Management Commission.
Tranter IT, in partnership with the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, has served as the sole distributor of ManageEngine’s solutions in Nigeria for over 13 years.
Regional Sales Manager for ManageEngine, Mr Solomon Raj, said the firm was focused on helping government agencies achieve better results through IT automation.
Raj added that the 2025 event would adopt a new panel format to allow for interactive knowledge-sharing sessions between moderators, panellists, and participants.
