President Bola Tinubu has reflected on the economic reforms undertaken by his administration since assuming office in 2023 and the sacrifices associated with them, acknowledging the hardship experienced by many Nigerians.
Tinubu stated this on Sunday while delivering his acceptance speech after receiving the certificate of return and the party’s flag as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 presidential election.
“I shared the pain with you. I know what it takes to reform this economy that was in tatters. If you lost sleep, I lost some too. If you have lost weight, I think I have lost some too,” the President said.

The President further noted that Nigeria’s political landscape has significantly evolved since he assumed office, while thanking party members and supporters for the overwhelming mandate given to him during the APC primary election.
