I Didn’t Go To House To Play Games, Says Otega


Big Brother Naija 10/10 Housemate, Otega who was evicted at the last eviction night has spoken of his own experience in the house, saying he came to showcase his real self and not play games.

The 32-year-old multifaceted creative, whose real name is Oghenetega Eritomi had been the chef in the House, supporting in cooking and showcasing some of his culinary skills.

In an interview with select journalists on Wednesday, Otega noted that despite the challenges he faced, he remained committed to being authentic and vulnerable.

“I have no problem being myself,” he said. “I didn’t come to the house to play games, I came to be me,” he said.

Ortega’s passion is expressed in storytelling, art, and emotional connection.

Otega’s journey is a testament to his versatility and creativity, transitioning from a successful tech career to the culinary world, finding solace in the creative expression and emotional connection that cooking provides.

“In tech, I was building, solving, and creating, but I often felt disconnected from the world I was serving. Food changed that. It grounded me. It gave me a way to connect with people on a sensory, cultural, and emotional level,” he said.

Otega brought to the house, a unique blend of artistry and intelligence. His strategy revolved around staying true to himself, showcasing his creative talents, and forming meaningful connections with fellow housemates.
