Henkel Unveils New Detergent in Nigeria


Henkel Nigeria has launched two new products, WAW Complete 5 in 1 Liquid Detergent and WAW Active 5 All-Purpose Cleaner, expanding its footprint in the Nigerian homecare market.

According to a statement, Henkel Nigeria’s new product is its latest innovation under its WAW brand portfolio, which also includes household staples like Nittol and got2b.

Speaking at the launch, Managing Director of Henkel Nigeria, Rajat Kapur, said the new products were tailored to meet local cleaning needs while providing convenience, fabric protection, and a long-lasting fragrance.

Kapur said, “At Henkel Nigeria, we are committed to innovation. Delivering effective, seamless and convenient laundry solutions tailored to evolving consumer habits is central to us as a business. Our recently launched WAW All-Purpose Cleaner and Liquid Detergent are integral to our broader goal of championing innovations that complement laundry and home care cleaning.”

He added that the WAW All-Purpose and Liquid Detergent launch strengthens the company’s reputation in laundry and home care innovation.

Brand Manager of Henkel Nigeria, Ifeyinwa Nnaji, explained that the new products were developed with Nigerian households in mind, stating, “We are excited to introduce the WAW Complete 5 in 1 Liquid Detergent and the WAW Active 5 All Purpose Cleaner to the Nigerian market. These innovative products embody our dedication to providing effective, convenient, and high-quality cleaning solutions tailored to the needs of Nigerian households.”

She explained that the detergent offers deep cleaning across multiple fabric types, including coloured clothes, while the all-purpose cleaner tackles tough household stains.

Henkel reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable business practices and local innovation, noting that more consumer-centric products are already in development.
