Ahead of the 2027 elections, a pro-group, the Alex Otti 4+4 Movement 2027, has launched a statewide campaign aimed at mobilising grassroots support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti of Abia State.
The movement in a statement issued by its Chairman, Hon. Chibueze Daniel Okah, said the initiative is designed to raise and sustain awareness of ongoing progress in governance, economic transformation and sustainable development across Abia State as a reason to give Governor Otti the opportunity to complete eight years of sustained transformation of the State.
The group outlined its core mission to also include consolidating achievements recorded by Governor Otti and engaging citizens and key stakeholders to support him for the next four years.
The statement reads, “The movement is committed to ensuring continuity of good governance, economic transformation and sustainable development across Abia State.
“The Alex Otti 4+4 Movement 2027 is positioned not merely as a campaign group but as a people-driven development movement. Its focus is on sustaining the progress achieved in Abia State, deepening democratic values and ensuring citizens have an active role in shaping the future of their communities.”
The movement called on residents, stakeholders and supporters to actively participate in what it termed the collective effort to build a more prosperous state under the leadership of Governor Otti.
It also emphasised the importance of grassroots mobilisation, with plans to build a strong support base across all local government areas by engaging youths, women, traders and professionals.
The Alex Otti 4+4 movement further highlighted voter education and awareness as critical to victory, stressing the need to sensitise citizens on the importance of continuity in leadership while encouraging peaceful, transparent and credible participation in the electoral process.
