As the campaigns for 2027 hot up, different groups are coming out to root for their various candidates to either continue in their representative positions or support other candidates to displace current political office holders.

For Grassroots Initiative, a group that prides itself as a political structure rooting for Governor Bassey Otu and his deputy, Peter Odey to continue at the helm of affairs in Cross River State, the achievements of the duo fascinates the public.

Mr Awade Friday who is the director general of the group recounts the achievement of Otu to include construction of road networks, reviving hitherto dormant infrastructure and putting modalities in place to control insecurity in the state.

For the deputy governor, Peter Odey, Friday harped on his loyalty to the gov ernor which, according to him, “has stabilised governance in the state.”
