Greenwich boosts digital learning in Lagos schools

As part of its sustained commitment to advancing education and equipping young Nigerians with future-ready skills, the Greenwich Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Greenwich Group, has unveiled a state-of-the-art ICT laboratory at Ransome Kuti Memorial Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in Lagos.

According to a statement, the newly commissioned facility, featuring 24 modern computers for each of the two schools, is designed to promote digital literacy and expose students to essential technological tools that will prepare them for success in today’s knowledge-driven economy.

Speaking on the initiative, Managing Director of Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions, Mrs Obiageli Chiki-Ijegbulem, commended the Foundation’s dedication to sustainable educational development.

She emphasised that technology remains a powerful equaliser in bridging learning gaps and empowering communities.

“At GRDS, we believe that technology is a transformative force,” Chiki-Ijegbulem said. “Supporting the Greenwich Foundation’s ICT Lab project reflects our mission to drive digital transformation, not only within businesses but also across the communities we serve.”

The ICT Lab project is the third major educational initiative by the Greenwich Foundation, reinforcing its consistent investment in quality education and community development. Previous interventions include school renovations and infrastructure improvements aimed at creating conducive learning environments for students across Lagos State.

In recognition of its impact on public education, the Greenwich Foundation recently received the Education District Merit Award from the Lagos State Ministry of Education, an acknowledgement of its steadfast support for youth development and public-school advancement.

The Foundation’s efforts are further bolstered by the active participation of subsidiaries within the Greenwich Group, including Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions, Greenwich Merchant Bank, Greenwich Trustees, Greenwich Securities, and GTL Properties. Together, these entities continue to champion initiatives focused on education, empowerment, and sustainable community growth.

Through this latest ICT intervention, the Greenwich Foundation reaffirms its vision of nurturing a generation of digitally skilled Nigerians capable of leading the nation’s technological and economic transformation.
