Nigerians traveling abroad for business or leisure can now access flexible and affordable data roaming bundles in an expanded list of countries, Glo announced in a statement on Monday.
The new bundles are designed to help Glo subscribers stay connected, share photos and videos with family and friends, and keep up with business engagements, regardless of their location.
The service allows customers to maintain seamless communication while abroad, making it easier to manage both personal and professional matters.
Glo stated that the data bundles are available in various sizes, offering customers a range of options depending on their needs.
“For N2,500, subscribers get 50MB of roaming data, valid for 3 days. For N5,000, customers receive 125MB of roaming data, valid for 7 days. N10,000 provides 1GB of roaming data, valid for 10 days. For N25,000, subscribers receive 2.5GB of roaming data, valid for 30 days, and for N50,000, customers get 6GB of roaming data, valid for 60 days,” part of the statement read.
The telco stated that active Glo customers need to dial *312# and select option 5 to choose their preferred data roaming bundle.
It added that subscribers can dial the code to purchase a pack either while in Nigeria or once they reach their travel destination.
While roaming service is automatically activated for prepaid lines, postpaid customers must activate roaming service before subscribing to any Data Roaming Bundle.
The validity begins when the user arrives in the destination country and starts browsing, the firm explained.
“Additionally, subscribers must connect to one of the recommended networks listed on the company’s website. Selecting a different network will result in Pay-As-You-Go charges, as applicable,” it added.
The company also disclosed that customers will receive regular usage notifications to help them monitor their consumption and the depletion of their data.
“The service is available on 46 selected networks across 40 countries, including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Ireland, Brazil, India, South Africa, and others,” it stated.
