Furniture Industry Faces FX Volatility, Inflation

The Managing Director, Lifemate Furniture, Mr Liu Lihua, has decried the rate of foreign exchange and inflation volatility plaguing the furniture industry.

He disclosed this during the company’s raffle draw competition to mark its 19th year anniversary, which was held at the company’s office in Oregun, Ikeja, recently.

He said, “Foreign exchange and inflation have been our major challenge. If it is stable, I think all the companies will find a way to make a profit and make everything go well, to get more staff and expand our business. Hence, a stable economic environment would enable companies to grow, create more jobs, and continue providing quality service to customers.

“We grew from a very small company, now we are the biggest furniture company in Nigeria, and we have the largest furniture in that part.  So, I think we have served the customer for 19 years, and we give good service, and I hope we can keep on doing that.

“What informed the promo is that we are hoping to give the customer more feedback, and the customer can enjoy LifeMate’s product and can enjoy the product, and can enjoy the service. Since we are the largest, the biggest furniture company in Nigeria, we are looking to expand our business in so many other cities. For now, we are just in major cities, but we want to start business in so many other capitals, other states, and we get more staff, so we give more jobs, so we can serve the community.”

Lifemate Furniture marked its 19th anniversary with a raffle draw where customers won prizes including a car, refrigerators, washing machines, mobile phones, and fans, with entries received from Lifemate’s six branches in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Kano, and Mowe.

A total of 40 customers won fans, eight won mobile phones, five won washing machines, three won double-door refrigerators, and one customer won the star prize of a car.
