Funke Akindele Once Paid Me N90K After 1 Month On Set, Actor Ijoba Lande Recounts

Actor and comedian Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, who is popularly called Ijoba Lande, recounted his disappointing experience working with popular actress and producer Funke Akindele, also called Jenifa.

Ijoba Lande narrated that he spent a month working on a movie produced by Akindele at Amen Estate in Lagos, only to be paid N90,000 at the end.

He said he was shocked by the small payment, as he had expected more.

In a video message shared via his social media, Lande said, “There was a time Funke Akindele called me for a movie production at Amen Estate, and we spent one month there. I was shocked when she gave me N90,000 after spending one month.”

He cautioned aspiring actors against idolising prominent figures in the industry and stressed the need to negotiate payment before agreeing to take on roles.

“I have learned my lesson. I will always state my charges before going to any location. When she called me, I was too excited to discuss payment, only to end up with N90k after one month,” the actor added.
