Foundation Donates Food Items, Toiletries To Orphanage Home

A frontline Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), 2time Hope Foundation, on Saturday, donated food items and toiletries to the Compassionate Orphanage home in Lagos.

The donated items, which include rice, garri, spaghetti, custard, sugar, biscuits, and tissues, were part of the foundation’s outreach to improve the lives of orphans at a time when many orphanages are struggling with rising food costs and economic hardship.

Speaking during the visit, the Coordinator of the foundation, Ajayi Toyin, announced the launch of the organisation, describing it as a non-profit dedicated to empowering Nigerian youth through education, mentorship, and skill development initiatives.

She said, “Our mission is to ignite hope and unlock potential in young Nigerians, enabling them to become agents of positive change in their communities.”

She further appealed to individuals, organisations, and partners to join them on this journey, noting that more could be achieved through collective effort.

In her final remarks, the manager of Compassionate Orphanage home, Patricia Aselemi, expressed gratitude to the foundation for the visit and support, noting that caring for the children requires collective effort and sustained partnership.

She said, “The work we do here is a collective effort. We rely on the support of well-meaning individuals and organisations because the responsibility of caring for and educating these children is enormous.

Aselemi further urged the government to strengthen social welfare support, noting that the orphanage does not currently receive any form of assistance.

She said, “We don’t have a social welfare package from the government. That is, we don’t go to the government to receive any form of help. So, when organisations or individuals come up with initiatives like this, it is very relieving.”
