Over 80 brands have explored investment opportunities in Nigeria’s growing urban infrastructure sector following the successful hosting of the inaugural Lift Expo Nigeria 2025 in Lagos.

The exhibition, which was held between September 2 and 4, concluded as the largest elevator and escalator showcase in Africa, drawing more than 2,500 industry professionals, policymakers and investors from over 15 countries.

The event, organised by Expert International Fairs Org. Co. in collaboration with Mena Management, brought together leading companies from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Delegations from the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, construction firms, engineering companies and real estate developers were also present.

Ozdemir added, “The event also positioned Nigeria as a regional hub for vertical mobility innovation and infrastructure growth.”

The expo featured next-generation elevator and escalator systems, smart mobility solutions integrated with the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance technology, and energy-efficient designs focused on sustainability.

Private roundtables and technical sessions opened dialogue on policy, safety standards and innovation ecosystems, while experts shared insights on urbanisation trends, smart city planning, safety protocols and certification challenges in emerging markets.
