The Federal Government and ActionAid Nigeria have renewed their push to strengthen strategies for the empowerment of the organisations working towards the advancement of gender equality and inclusive development for women and girls in the country.
The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim said this in Abuja yesterday during the annual planning meeting of the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership ( RWVL) organized by ActionAid Nigeria in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, an agency of the Canadian government. Sulaiman-Ibrahim, represented by Ebele Obiefuna, said the government would continue to partner with all organizations working in the country to empower women and girls’ socio-economic development and growth.
She said: “The ministry values its partnership with ActionAid and reaffirms its commitment to continued collaborative efforts that will ensure greater access to productive assets and leadership opportunities, with lasting impact for women across Nigeria.”
