FCMB rewards customers with cash

First City Monument Bank has rewarded four of its customers with N1m each in the latest draw of its ongoing Millionaire Promo, now in its 10th season.

In a recent statement, the firm stated that the draw, held in April, also saw 112 other customers win various cash prizes of up to N100,000 through a live computerised raffle process.

The promo, which aims to reward loyal customers and promote a savings culture, has so far produced eight millionaires and over 1,000 other winners since its launch in December 2024.

Among the N1m winners was Lagos-based fashion designer, Anita Yesufu, who said the prize coincided with her birthday and would be used to expand her tailoring business. Another winner, Abdulsalam Ibrahim, an entrepreneur in Kaduna, described the win as a source of motivation and urged others to bank with FCMB.

Also among the winners was Abolarin Oluwagbemi, a businessman in Ibadan, Oyo State, who said he would invest the money in his renewable energy venture.

“To be one of the winners of the FCMB promo has made me happier. This is real,” he said.

During the draw, another customer, Olusola Olaiya, who previously won a television through the promo, praised the bank for empowering customers.

Additionally, the Divisional Head of Personal Banking at FCMB, Adetunji Lamidi, said the promo aligns with the bank’s mission of enabling financial security and opportunity for everyday Nigerians.

He described the initiative as one that reinforces positive financial habits while recognising customer loyalty.

FCMB’s Regional Head for Lagos, Omowunmi Kalejaiye, noted that the promo has become a platform for inclusive engagement and shared growth. She encouraged customers to view their winnings as seed capital for future investment.

The statement noted that the promo will run until September 2025 and is open to new and existing savings account holders, including those with dormant or inactive accounts that are reactivated.

The PUNCH reported that First City Monument Bank has trained entrepreneurs through its Business Empowerment, Sustainability and Training Masterclass, which participants have credited with transforming their business operations and mindset.
