Faveremit Boosts Rural Education in Osun with School Supplie

A financial technology firm, Faveremit, has donated educational materials to over 500 pupils in three public primary schools across Osun State as part of its effort to support education in rural communities.

The outreach, which forms the second phase of the company’s corporate social responsibility campaign titled Spreading Yuletide Love, saw book donations made to pupils of LA1 Primary School and St. Peter’s Primary School in Esa-Oke, as well as DTTC Primary School in Ijebu-Jesa.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Faveremit, Gabriel Olusola, said the initiative was aimed at inspiring young learners and empowering communities beyond financial services.

“We believe that real change begins in the classroom. Each notebook represents a blank page for a child’s imagination and potential. If we can inspire even one future leader, this effort is worth it,” he said.

He added that the donations reflect the company’s commitment to long-term community investment, not just the expansion of its digital financial services.

“We are not just building a fintech app. We are building a future where communities grow with us. This is just one of many steps we will take to invest in the people we serve,” he said.

Olusola also called on other private sector players, non-governmental organisations, and individuals to collaborate in building a more educated and inclusive Nigeria.

Faveremit, which offers digital financial services such as virtual dollar cards, gift card exchanges, and money transfers, launched the Spreading Yuletide Love campaign in 2024 as part of its efforts to give back to the communities in which it operates.
