Following news reports making the rounds that Germany rejected his nomination as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the country, the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has debunked the purported report.
The viral news report on X suggested that Germany had refused to accept Fani-Kayode’s appointment as ambassador to the country, citing rabid ethnic and religious slurs on social media.

Reacting on his Facebook page, Fani-Kayode described the reports as “Fake news” and accused political opponents of attempting to undermine his appointment.
“These opposition elements are so pained by my appointment that they are doing everything to discredit it. Whether they like it or not, I will serve my country,” he stated.
The former minister emphasised his commitment to serving Nigeria, dismissing the rumours as baseless attempts to scuttle his diplomatic role.
