Family Releases Late Singer Brobro’s Timeless ‘Araye Eyo’


Christmas annually comes a variety of soul-stirring songs that remind us of the essence of the birth of Jesus Christ and the joyous mood that fills the air that transcends the world.

The family of deceased gospel singer, Steve Pelemoh, popularly known as Brobro, has released his Christmas-themed song “Araye Eyo”, a single track which is made available on all digital streaming platforms and encapsulates a soothing lyrical traditional song that shares the beauty of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Brobro’s inspiring compositions, particularly the iconic ‘Araye Eyo’, have become an anthem of worship, resonating deeply in the hearts of believers and standing as a testament to his divine calling.

The deceased musician and multi-instrumentalist served as a lifelong member of the choir for over five decades, won a series of awards and rolled out several albums, including the evergreen song “Ojo Agbara na ti Osan Doru” including other CCC hymns.

Until his death this year, he was fondly referred to as ‘Choir Master-General’ of the Celestial Church of Christ, Worldwide (CCCW), as he is well known across the length and breadth of the church network.

While alive, he led Celestial Church of Christ, Makoko Parish in Lagos, to produce the “Halleluyah” Album, which is one of the most listened-to albums in Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).

With over 25 albums to his credit, Steve Pelemoh was widely known for the song “Oluwa Ni Apata Mi” as he contributed to the development of music at CCC while being referred to as a man whose life was dedicated to glorifying God through the power of music.

Brobro’s knack for soul-stirring gospel songs captured the essence of celestial worship uplifting, reverent, and filled with the spirit of God.

Hence, the song “Araye Eyo “emphasises delight and gratitude for the birth of Jesus Christ as it reflects on the humble and meaningful beginning of Jesus and embodies traditional Yoruba rhythms with church choir arrangements to put together a joyous and uplifting atmosphere that defines the season.

Consequently, lovers of hymns and music allude to the ingenuity and depth of the late gospel singer’s compositions with their soothing lyrics, said to resonate and transcend time and space, as they weave together the rich heritage of the Celestial Church of Christ with the universal language of praise.
