Ex-BBC Journalist Launches Abuja Communications Firm


BBC news anchor and award-winning journalist, Lisa-Marie Misztak, is set to launch a new strategic communications consultancy, One Voice Synergy Comms, on Thursday, 3rd July 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria.

The new company, which will be headquartered in Abuja with a presence in London, is designed to support executives, government officials, and corporate leaders in building stronger, clearer messaging and communication strategies.

According to an official press statement released on Tuesday, 1st July 2025, “One Voice Synergy Comms is a boutique communications consultancy that offers high-level media training, strategic messaging support, PR, brand management and executive presence coaching.”

The firm will work with clients across a wide range of sectors including government, finance, health, and development, with a focus on improving “clarity, consistency, and confidence in both internal and external communication.”

With over a decade of experience from the BBC newsroom to the boardroom, Mistake said the new firm will help leaders and organizations amplify their voices on both local and international platforms.

“With a decade at the BBC, I understand the value of strong communication at every level of leadership,” she said. “One Voice Synergy Comms exists to help leaders, boards, and brands speak with clarity, credibility, and purpose — whether in high-stakes interviews, investor briefings, or international forums.”

The launch event will take place in Abuja, and is expected to draw a high-profile audience, including senior executives, policymakers, media professionals, and creative leaders from across Nigeria and the UK, offering attendees a “first look at the company’s services and long-term vision.”
