Emuwa partners IRO Lagos on Christmas party

A renowned Chef and founder of Obi Bakes It, Obi Emuwa, has partnered with the founder of IRO Lagos, Lara Afun, to host a Christmas tasting party.

The event, held at IRO Lagos’s office in Ikoyi on Sunday, showcased a selection of treats from their festive menu, offering guests an opportunity to sample gourmet delights and explore the brand’s Christmas offerings.

While IRO Lagos has hosted tasting parties before, this was the first collaboration with Obi Emuwa.

Speaking about the event, Emuwa shared his excitement about the partnership.

Emuwa noted that the partnership shows their commitment to quality.

“IRO Lagos is a well-known brand with a reputation for quality, which resonates with me. This collaboration is a great opportunity to elevate my business and build new partnerships,” Emuwa said.

He explained that IRO Lagos initiated the collaboration, adding that “she approached me with the idea, and it came at the right time as I was looking to take my business to the next level. We have plans to collaborate further on future projects.”

Looking ahead, Emuwa expressed his intention to explore more partnerships. “This is my first experience partnering with a brand like this, but it’s something I plan to continue. If all goes well, I hope to expand and collaborate with other businesses in the future.”

Earlier, the founder of IRO Lagos, Afun stated, “We aim to provide a full gourmet service, from turkey and trimmings to desserts. At IRO Lagos, we used to own a bakery and studio, but now we curate our menus with items made specifically for us.”

Afun highlighted that although her brand is well-known for baked goods, they offer much more, especially during the holiday season.

She introduced The Conservatory at IRO Lagos, a new tea room where guests can enjoy afternoon tea in an intimate setting. “We’ve always been into baking, but at Christmas, we expand our offerings. The tea room is open throughout the year for bookings,” she added.

The event was a lively affair, featuring soft music, a variety of flavored snacks and drinks, and an array of baked goods available for purchase.

Guests enjoyed a festive atmosphere and the opportunity to experience the high-quality offerings of both brands.
