Ekunrawo, Jux Team Up For New Afro-R&B Single ‘Halima’

Fast-rising Nigerian star, Ekunrawo and Tanzanian R&B sensation, Juma Jux, have joined forces to release a brand-new single titled “Halima,” a smooth Afro-fusion track already generating buzz across the continent.

The highly anticipated collaboration, produced by Nigerian hitmaker P Jay Beat, was recently released across all major streaming platforms, marking a significant milestone for Ekunrawo, who has continued to carve out a niche for himself in the Afrobeats scene. The song adds another cross-border hit to his expanding catalogue.

”Halima” blends Afrobeats, Bongo Flava, and R&B elements, with both artistes delivering a soulful performance that celebrates beauty, love, and admiration.

Ekunrawo’s vibrant vocals pair seamlessly with Jux’s smooth Swahili-laced delivery, resulting in a track poised for heavy rotation on radio and playlists.

In a statement, Ekunrawo, born Adeleke Timileyin Tunde, a trained Civil Engineer from the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering of Volgograd State Technical University (IACE of VSTU), described the collaboration as “a dream come true,” noting that working with Jux brought a new level of texture and depth to the record. “This song is special. It’s for everyone who has ever been inspired by love,” he said.

Jux, speaking on the release, praised Ekunrawo’s artistry: “The energy was perfect, and the chemistry in the studio was real. ‘Halima’ is one of those songs that connects instantly.”

Standing over six feet tall, Ekunrawo embodies the true definition of a complete entertainer — a striking runway model, a magnetic performer, and a fast-rising music talent whose journey reads like a script of grit and transformation.

From sleeping under a bridge in Ajah to building a new life in Russia, his story speaks to what resilience, discipline, and unwavering belief can achieve. Reflecting on his remarkable journey, Ekunrawo shared how determination reshaped his destiny:

”I have been able to turn my life around with dedication and focus. Over the years, I went to the university, earned a degree, got married, built multiple multi-million-dollar businesses, and released several high-profile songs.”

‎He admits the road has been anything but easy, but his message to anyone facing adversity remains clear:

”Do not give up. No matter the phase you’re in, keep pushing.

The sky is only the starting point for a determined mind.”

‎Today, Ekunrawo stands not only as an emerging African music voice but also as one of the most respected Nigerian figures in Russia, often serving as a key bridge between the Nigerian community and their host country.

‎Shortly after its release, snippets of “Halima” began trending on TikTok and Instagram, with fans applauding the duo for their synergy and fresh sound. Music pundits have also predicted that the single could become one of the major cross-regional hits of the season.

‎The music video, expected to be released soon, was shot in Lagos and Dar es Salaam and is said to feature vibrant cultural aesthetics from both countries.

‎”Halima” adds to the growing wave of collaborations between West and East African artistes, strengthening cultural ties and expanding the reach of contemporary African music on the global stage. With this release, Ekunrawo and Jux look set to dominate charts and hearts alike in the coming weeks.
