Edves, Globus Bank partner to ease school-fee payments

Edves, an education technology company in Africa, has announced its partnership with Globus Bank to ease payment of school fees by parents and guardians across Nigeria.

A statement issued by the brand and communication manager, Edves, Cynthia Okonkwo, said the strategic collaboration aims to streamline the school fee payment process, enabling seamless transactions via bank transfers.

It noted that the new initiative addresses a long-standing challenge in the education sector, where managing school fees is often tedious and time-consuming.

“With the integration of Globus Bank’s user-friendly payment systems, parents and guardians can now settle fees and other bills with greater ease,” the statement noted.

“Private schools in Nigeria face 25 per cent annual bad debt due to delayed fees. The Edves-Globus Bank solution helps track defaulters and reduce losses, ensuring focus on quality education,” the statement mentioned.

The Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Edves, Dimeji Falana, said, “This partnership exemplifies our commitment to leveraging technology to solve real-life challenges in education. By working with Globus Bank, we aim to make fee payments simpler and more efficient for schools and families.”

He noted that the collaboration aligned with Edves’ broader mission of empowering educational institutions with cutting-edge digital solutions. As schools increasingly adopt digitised operations, secure and efficient payment systems have become essential for sustainability.

Falana further stated that Globus Bank brings its financial expertise to the partnership, ensuring that transactions are reliable and secure.

“Edves continues to lead the charge in revolutionising the education sector through technology. This latest initiative marks another milestone in its efforts to enhance the learning environment across Africa,” the statement added.
