EcoFlow begins operations in Nigeria

EcoFlow, a global leader in portable power and renewable energy solutions, has officially launched its operations in Nigeria, signalling a major step towards addressing the country’s ongoing energy challenges.

The launch event took place recently in Lagos, attracting industry stakeholders, energy experts, and consumers eager to explore innovative solutions to Nigeria’s persistent power shortages.

Speaking at the event, the business development manager of EcoFlow Nigeria, Mr Isaiah Umoh, emphasised the strategic importance of the company’s market entry.

He noted that EcoFlow’s presence reinforces its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s transition towards a carbon-neutral economy by providing sustainable and reliable power alternatives.

“Nigeria faces a significant energy crisis, with over half of the population experiencing unreliable grid connectivity and frequent blackouts, sometimes lasting between 160 and 180 days per year.

“This affects businesses, homes, and overall economic productivity. Our mission is to provide cutting-edge, eco-friendly energy solutions that help Nigerians overcome these challenges while driving economic growth,” Umoh said.

EcoFlow aims to redefine the power landscape in Nigeria by introducing advanced battery-powered solutions that eliminate the noise, pollution, and high operational costs associated with traditional fuel generators.

According to Umoh, these solutions are designed to be accessible for homes, businesses, and outdoor applications, ensuring clean and efficient power for all.

He added that the company’s entry into the Nigerian market is not just a response to the country’s current energy problems but also a step towards a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

As Nigeria continues to embrace innovation and creativity, EcoFlow’s technology provides an alternative to conventional backup systems, reducing dependency on fossil fuels while offering reliable energy solutions.

Attendees at the launch event had the opportunity to experience hands-on demonstrations of EcoFlow’s latest products, including the RIVER 3 Max Plus, RIVER 2 Pro, DELTA 2, and DELTA 2 Max. These products showcased their capacity to deliver dependable, eco-friendly energy for homes, businesses, and communities, addressing the country’s power supply gaps.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of TD Africa, Chioma Chimere, said, “We want Nigeria to embrace clean energy and reduce its carbon footprint. At TD Africa, we are not just waiting for change—we are driving the change. Together, we are making clean, sustainable energy a reality.”

She further highlighted the affordability and efficiency of EcoFlow’s solutions compared to other energy alternatives.

“Unlike other trailblazers that come with high costs, EcoFlow is affordable, efficient, and easy to use. The future is now, and we are shaping it,” she added.

Chimere noted that with the firm’s entry into the market, Nigerians now have greater access to sustainable energy solutions, offering hope for a future with cleaner and more reliable power.
