Don Julio Launches Luxury Tequila in Nigeria


Premium tequila brand Don Julio has launched its Reposado and Blanco products in the Nigerian market, targeting high-net-worth individuals and luxury lifestyle enthusiasts with a grand unveiling in Lagos.

The launch event marked the world’s leading premium tequila’s strategic expansion into Nigeria, aiming to reposition tequila from a casual drink to a sophisticated spirit that embodies craftsmanship and earned celebration.

“We are incredibly proud to officially introduce Don Julio Reposado and Blanco to the Nigerian market,” said Kemi Longe, Portfolio Director Reserve, Diageo South, West & Central Africa.

The newly introduced products offer distinct profiles designed for diverse preferences.

The launch event attracted a curated mix of fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment figures, including Chioma Ikokwu, Uche Montana, Sheggz, Sooj, and Efe Tommy, who participated in the celebration, reinforcing the brand’s association with discerning tastes and monumental achievements.

The highlight of the event was the ceremonial unveiling of both Don Julio products, marking their official arrival in the Nigerian market.

The launch represents a significant milestone in Nigeria’s elite social scene, with Don Julio aiming to shape the country’s celebratory future by inviting individuals to discover the craft and distinction of its premium tequila range.

The Don Julio brand is owned by Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol with products sold in more than 180 countries worldwide, including brands such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Cîroc, Captain Morgan, and Baileys.
