Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has teased Arsenal fans following the Red Devils’ dramatic 3–2 victory over the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
Making his second start since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Diallo featured in the starting lineup before being substituted late for Noussair Mazraoui as United aimed to protect their lead.
New Telegraph had earlier reported that Man United bounced back from an early challenge to secure all three points, with goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu setting the stage before Matheus Cunha’s spectacular late strike sealed the win, delighting the travelling United supporters.

After the match, Diallo joined in the social media banter, responding to an Arsenal fan on X by poking fun at the Gunners’ reliance on set pieces this season. Arsenal have scored 25 goals from set plays across all competitions this season, the highest among clubs in Europe’s top five leagues.
“Your only hope is corner,” Diallo wrote, highlighting Arsenal’s dependence on dead-ball situations.
The Gunners’ proficiency from set pieces was again evident when Mikel Merino scored late from a Bukayo Saka corner, but it wasn’t enough as United held on for the win. The victory marked interim manager Michael Carrick’s second consecutive triumph, following last week’s impressive statement win over Manchester City.
While United showed resilience and quality in open play, Arsenal struggled to create chances outside of set-piece situations, a fact Diallo cheekily emphasised in his social media exchange.
