Denzel Washington Says Black Panther 3 Is One Of His Last Films


American actor Denzel Washington has said ‘Black Panther 3’ is one of his last films before retirement.

It will be recalled that last August, the actor disclosed that he has a few movies left in him.

Hence, during a press tour of his latest movie ‘Gladiator II’ in Australia, Washington who listed his upcoming movie projects said he’s presently focused on working with the best filmmakers, and doing things he hasn’t done.

He said ‘Black Panther’ director, Ryan Coogler is writing him a part in Black Panther 3, while he will also be reprising the main character in a movie adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’.

“I played Othello at 22. I am about to play Othello at 70,” he continued, referring to the Shakespeare production co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal that opens on Broadway in February 2025.

“After that, I’ve been talking to Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a for me in the next ‘Black Panther’. After that, I’m going to do the film ‘Othello’, after that, I’m going to do King Lear. After that, I’m going to retire.”

‘Gladiator II’ premiered November 14 in the United Kingdom, and November 15, 2024, in the United States.
