Davido Gifts Timi Of Ede Luxury SUV On 70th Birthday


Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has warmed the hearts of his fans and that of some clerics in Ede, Osun State after his kind gesture to the Timi of Ede land.

The singer gifted a GAC GS8 SUV to the Timi of Ede, His Royal Majesty, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, in celebration of his 70th birthday.

Davido, a native of Ede, delivered the SUV to the monarch on Wednesday February 12, through Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, Chief of Staff to Governor Ademola Adeleke, shortly after an interfaith prayer session for the king’s birthday.

Davido reposted a video of a cleric praying for him as well as a photo collage of the vehicle delivered to the celebrant. The singer who is back with his family in Atlanta reshared the posts on his Instagram story hours ago.

Meanwhile, a five-day celebration has already begun in honor of the Timi of Ede

The Timi of Ede will confer chieftaincy titles on prominent sons and daughters of Ede on February 14 in recognition of their contributions to the town’s development, the planning committee announced.
